((Depression is a good thing...well...not really...but that's okay))
Flyte, who was ALMOST drifting back to sleep, jumped out of her skin. She quickly stood up and tried to stop her heart from pounding. If there was one way to wake someone up, that would be it. She stumbled back to the bed, blinking to try to clear her sight. She tripped over her feet and fell to the floor, catching herself just before she slammed her nose into it. Pain sprang up her arm, and she dropped to her side and grabbed her wrist with a quiet gasp.

Masafumi had stayed in his room, now silent. What had happened? What did Bara tell him? After a few moments, he fell over and looked at the wall.
OOC: Yes, crappy post. Oh, Bara's his sister.

After laying on the floor for a couple minute, mouthing "ow", the pain subsided a little. She sucked in her breath, gritted her teeth, and let her wrist go. More pain. She closed her eyes briefly, tightened her jaw, and quietly stepped out of the room. Trying not to make any noise and continued to stumble to the kitchened, where she pulled out ice, found where he kept towels, and placed it on her wrist. Then, using her side to keep the ice in place, she started searching for any strings or elastics she could use.

Soon, Masafumi came out of his room. He had forgotten that Flyte was there, so he was just in jeans. He went right to the couch in the living room and fell over, choking back tears. He hed a broken cell phone. That must have been what he threw at the wall. He was mumbling under his breath, trying to keep the tears from falling.

Flyte bit on her lip, ended up holding onto the ice with her other hand, and started walking back to her room. In the doorway of the living room, right when she noticed Masi on the couch, she tripped and fell again. This time she managed to turn and land on her back, though it knocked the wind out of her.

Masafumi jumped a little and looked over. His mumblings had stopped and he grew dead silent. After just a few moments, he looked away. Flyte didn't need to see him like this. His tears kept fighting him, trying to escape, but he wouldn't let them. He already looked foolish and he was probably the reason she was up in the first place.

Flyte thought about getting up, but instead she just laid on the floor and stared at the ceiling. She wasn't sure if she could get up anyway, her wrist was throbbing, and she winced, clenching her jaws so hard she wasn't sure why her teeth weren't breaking. She knew it was a bad time to be there. Of course, I'm always in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Masafumi sighed. "I'm sorry if I woke you up," he whispered, still looking away. "Then again, I must have. Probably half of the neighborhood, too..." He had to stop every now-and-again to choke back his tears. After a few moments, he tossed the ruins of his cell phone into a trash can, just barely making it in.

Flyte didn't reply. One, she knew if she opened her mouth she would just start gasping in pain, two, she wasn't even sure how to reply to him, and three, she was kind of half-hoping he'd forget she was there anyway. She swallowed a cough but it just came back. So instead she cleared her throat as quietly she she could, which then made her throat start burning. She closed her eyes and started mouthing "ow" again.

He couldn't move. If he did, he'd fall apart into tears and pain. His heart already acked. Soon, though, he gave up and stood up. Slowly, he walked over to her and kneeled beside her. "What happened?" he asked quietly. "Are you okay?" After that, he realized that she had an ice pack, so obviously she wasn't. He sighed to himself and looked away. He must look terrible.

Flyte opened her eyes and waited a second, trying to sum up her strength. "Are you...okay?" She asked, then closed her mouth again and tightened her grip on her wrist. She felt strange laying on the floor with him looking over at her, so she carefully sat up. At one point she gasped slightly, then fell silent again and stared at her chipped nail polish.

He sighed a little. "I don't want to talk about it..." he lied. He didn't want her to worry or think anything of him at the moment, but after a while his tears started falling. He tried so hard to fight them back, but he had lost. He stood up and walked over to the couch and fell back over. "It's not fair," he whispered to himself.

Flyte sat there for a moment, before standing up slowly. Again she used her hip to keep the ice in place as she walked over and sat by him. "A lot of...things aren't...fair." She got out of her mouth without any excess noise.

Masafumi choked back his tears again. "Death is the worse of them all..." he managed to get out with no tears. He sighed a little and kept his eyes anywhere but Flyte. She didn't need to see his tears.

Flyte sat up on her knees and wiped Masi's tears away. "I know." She said softly. Oh, she knew perfectly well. She swallowed and wiped his hair from his face.

Masafumi tried to move away. He stood up and stuck his hands into his pockets as he walked over to the window across the room. After a few minutes of silence, he turned around and said, "She was my mother! She didn't deserve to die! She did nothing to call for death!" His tears had won out again, staining his face.

Flyte sat down again and stared at her knees. She didn't know what to say. She wasn't too close to any of her relatives, but if there was someone she'd cry over, it would be her mother. "Sometimes death is better than life." She murmured, to herself really.

After a while, Masafumi just stopped. Shaking his head, he turned and started to his room. He returned a few moments later with a different pair of jeans on and a shirt. He knew he looked silly before, but he felt better now.

"I'm sorry." Flyte said, standing up and flinching slightly. "I don't know how it feels to lose someone you love." She knew how it felt to lose someone you didn't love, and she knew how it felt to lose a horse, but this must have been way different. She didn't know what to do, so she merely dropped the towel onto the couch and, wincing again, walked out the door.

Masafumi thought for a moment, running his hands threw his hair. Then, he fallowed after her. Soon he was besides her, looking at the ground. He had even forgotten to close the door! "Flyte," he whispered. "I shouldn't have said anything. I'll get over it. I did when my father left..."

"It's okay." Flyte said quietly, clutching her wrist as tightly as she could and staring straight ahead. Her pace never slowed. She knew she couldn't help Masi, especially with her being there.

Masafumi was soon right in front of Flyte, looking in her eyes. "Really," he said. "Come on, let's go back. Then we'll go get all your things." He smiled lightly, though he thought it seemed a little fake, he kept it there to keep everything calm.

Flyte shook her head, looking back at him for a moment before turning away. "I belong in the woods." She said quietly. "I can handle things there, and I can't hurt any one." I'm bad luck. I'm better off away from people.

Masafumi took her hand and spun her back around. "No," he whispered as he wrapped his arms around her. "You can stay with me. I want you to."

Flyte shook her head again, but didn't say anything, or even resist. She just sank into his arms. "So tired." She muttered. How many hours of sleep did she get? She wasn't that sure, but it felt like none.

Masafumi touched his forehead to her's. "Go back to bed," he whispered to her.
OOC: Crap post. I couldn't think of anything.

Flyte pulled away, turned, and started walking again. Every time she looked at Masi, she felt something strange. It almost scared her, she had never felt anything like it. And she had to make sure he didn't persuade her. She was perfectly fine with sleeping in trees, though it might be kind of hard climbing them with a hurt wrist. Maybe she'd save up her money and go to France.

OOC: Still brain dead.

Flyte paused slightly, but kept going. She clenched her teeth together and stopped herself from looking back. There must have been a reason she couldn't make any friends. "You're bad luck." "Shut up." Flyte muttered angrily. "You were a mistake. You weren't supposed to be born."

Masafumi stuck his hands into his pockets. She'd rethink it wouldn't she? She'd come back, right? Of course she would. She could handle herself anyway... he didn't want to force her.
