Flyte watched him, noticing a familiar look in his eyes. "Do you miss someone?" She asked softly, ucnertainly. She knew very well how it felt to miss something, though she's never missed someone.

Masafumi shot his eyes back to Flyte and smiled. "Nah, just a bit of my past," he said with a sigh, knowing he'd never get that back. At least not here in America... but he didn't plan on leaving the states to a life he didn't really want. Where would the sense be in that? His friends didn't sing or play music anymore. All they did was listen to it and sit on the sidelines.

"The only thing I've ever missed was Vett, and my piano." She sighed. "Without them I basically spend my days getting through. Though I think that's what I did in the first place." She smirked. "All the kids in my town think I'm emo, just because I say there's no reason to life."

Masafumi smiled. "Then the don't know emo," he stated, referring to his own past, but refused to actually bring it up. Darkness and blood used to be his thing. He was a Satanist to say the least. He couldn't help it back then. His friends left the band and that set him off to a living hell.

Flyte stared at her legs, which were covered by black pants with a bit of a rip on the right leg, right above the knee. She blinked and ran her hand through her hair absentmindedly. She couldn't imagine Masafumi being emo. He was too nice. "Sometimes I think I would kill myself just to play the piano. It's like starving, in a way. First it hurts, but after a while the pain just sort of goes away and leaves a numb feeling. But then it hurts randomly sometimes." She laughed softly. Oh, she knew the feeling well. She often boycotted against her parents, trying to starve herself.

He shrugged. Masafumi himself prefered the guitar. "I've never played the piano," he stated. "Nor have I ever crash dieted." He didn't need a diet. Under his clothes lay muscle and abs. A six pack at that. He never would reveal that to anyone. He liked what people thought of him; booky and smart. It made him feel good most of the time.

"Eh, starving isn't as bad as people think. I'd rather starve then hang myself or something. So what if it takes a long time, I don't mind pain too much." She paused. "Unless it's a sickness. Ugh, sickness is atrtacted to me like flies and honey." She wiped the toast crumbs on her pants, still staring at her legs.

Masafumi's smile faded. "You get sick because you aren't healthy to begin with, Flyte," he debated. "If you don't eat, your ammune system fades. You're always sick, even if you don't feel like it..." He was worried, but he didn't want her to feel like he was a know-it-all or over worried... even though he was worried out of his mind.

"Funny, that's what the doctor said." Flyte smiled and shrugged. "Doesn't matter much to me. I'm just taking the gift God gave me and living it out, I don't care much if I die. No one else would either, I guess. Maybe my parents, a little."

Masafumi turned back to her and took her hand. "Don't say that!" he demanded. "You should know better than to say that..."

Flyte turned to look him, raising her eyebrows. "I should? And why so? I don't see any problem with it." She blinked innocently at him, conscious of her hand in his. She knew her hands were cold, they always were.

Masafumi let go of her hand and looked away. "People care about you, Flyte," he stated. "Even if you don't think they do. Life is precious. Take what you can out of it. If your parents are so bad, I'll help any way I can..."

"I never said my parents were bad. They're just...evil sometimes." Flyte stared at the side of his head before looking back at her knees. "The only people I know who care about me are my parents." She muttered, so quietly it was almost impossible to hear. It was true, too. Maybe if her sister was alive they would care about each other but frankly, she wasn't, and they don't. She didn't care much for her sister, she was practically still a baby when she died.

Masafumi sighed. "Just know that I care for you and I'm here to help," he stated, keeping his eyes directed at the window. He was twenty. He couldn't like a sixteen year old. It wasn't right.

Flyte turned her head so quickly, she was surprised she didn't get whiplash. She hadn't even thought of him. Come to think of it, she had been wondering why he put up with her. Just because he was polite, and maybe had nothing better to do than listen to her ranting.
She continued to just stare at him, not blinking, not breathing. Just the words coming out of someone's mouth surprised her. She hadn't heard someone say 'I care about you' in a little over a year.

Masafumi didn't speak anymore. Seeing that she didn't say anything, might mean a few things; shock, amazement, sickened... probably more, but those were what came to his mind. He didn't want to look over, just for the fear...

Flyte opened her mouth, then closed it again. She couldn't think of anything to say. She sucked in her breath quietly and swallowed. Her mind just went blank on things to say.

Masafumi stood up, his frame starting for the door. "I need to go.." he stated and out he went to do Lord knows what.

Flyte sat there for a second longer, before jumping to her feet and scrambling after him. "Masi!" She gasped, moving in front of him and biting her lower lip.

Masafumi stopped, stunned that she came back into the cold. "What?" he aske softly, thinking that her earlier silence told him everything. His place sounded really good. He needed to shave anyway. The stubble showed...

"I...I just..." She stammered, staring at her hands and blushing. She waited a heartbeat before wrapping her arms around him and closing her eyes. She could feel her heart beating, and she hoped that Masi couldn't feel it.

Slowly, Masafumi wrapped his arms around her. The snow fell around them lightly, keeping the world around the two white with icey flakes. Soon, he too had his eyes closed, lost in the embrace.

"Thanks." She murmured, not sure what she was saying it for. Everything, she decided. She smiled. "You smell good."

Masafumi smiled "That's why that one horse ate my hair," he offered. He liked that he smelled good, but that isn't what he was shooting for at all.

Flyte broke from the embrace and shuffled her feet, staring at them with her hands behind her back. She pushed her hair behind her ear and looked up at him. "When you said I was pretty...l'avez-vous voulu dire?" The words tumbled out in French, and she looked away again. She knew why, because she was too shy to really ask him.

Masafumi was reluctant to let go, but did so after a while. His eyes now open and alert, he starred at her. "I don't speak French," he whispered, turning his gaze to his snow covered shoes.

Flyte hesitated before speaking. "I said...I asked...if you...meant it." She stammered. She sneezed and watched some snow tumble from the roof.

((Really crappy post e_e; ))
Flyte smiled. She could remember her mother saying that to her, a long time ago, but now her mother was silent most of the time. She was scared of her father, Flyte was pretty sure. He could be mean, but there were times when all three of them had been having fun, and happy.
She shivered and blew out, her breath visible in the air. "I'd better get inside. A nice hot shower sounds great." She laughed.

OOC: He's so hard to play! I need to get used to him very very soon or else Megami will eat me!
BIC Masafumi looked back up. He couldn't help it after a while. It was complicated enough being four years older, but she was cute on top of that. He sighed and looked off at the snowy barn. "I'd better go too," he said, quietly. He wasn't sure what there would be to do at home, but anything to get away for now. "Writting sounds good right now..."
