Pebble walked down the stall rows, finding an empty stall at the end she laughed as she noticed it was right by Cricket- Diata's horse. She led Sky into the stall and slid the door shut behind her. The first thing she did was make sure the planks were good and strong on Cricket's side of the stall... the last thing she wanted was for her mare to be harrassed by a stallion. He really was a sweet boy, especially around people. But his size and the fact that he was a stallion made him dangerous to any living creature no matter his temperment. But she wouldn't have to worry about that yet because Cricket was out in the pasture momentarily.
Once her mare was inside and the halter was off Pebble just stood and inspected her. She clucked rythmitcally and softly. Her voice sounded like she was singing as she fell into the pattern of dealing with a horse. "There's my prize, be a good girl ok? I promise I won't let you down, I won't let anything happen to you. We'll get along just fine, I can see that already." As she spoke she was already brushing through the mare's pelt, getting rid of all the hay dust she had accumulated on the trailer ride there. After that was finnished she quickly combed her hair, then with a quick promise to be right back she hastily left the stall and moved towards the tack room. Once inside she found and old set of english jumping gear. With a sigh she reminded herself again that she had to start buying her own tack and stop using this old junk. But it would have to do. She pulled on some random riding boots she found and walked back to Sky's stall with a saddle carried in her hands and a bridle over her shoulder. She re-entered and quickly fastened the saddle onto her mare's back. The fact that there was an attached blanket to the equiptment saved time and she was grateful for that since she was itching to ride again... she hadn't ridden a real horse in over 2 months... though she had randomly excersised a few of the stable horses...but none of them were real prospects. She cautiously walked to Sky's head. Now how will she take the bit? All horses acted differently. She got in position and held the bit in front of the mare's muzzle, giving her the benifit of the doubt, Pebble waited to see her reaction.

Sky didn't like standing still while being saddled, but she stood anyway, figuring it better. When it came time for the bit, Sky turned her head away, but realizing Pebble wasn't going to shove the bit in her mouth like most people calmed her down. She gently took hold of the bit.She looked at Pebbles, starting to like her more. She was earning her trust already.

Pebble was quite suprised when the mare suddenly changed her mind she smiled and giggled a little. She slowly wrapped her arms around the mare's neck and buckled the bridle. She hooked one of the reigns on and opened the stall door. As she re-entered the stable walkway she felt the excitement grow in her, "Come on baby, I bet you want to ride as much as I do!" She quickened her pace, praying the Sky would come along nicely.

At first, Sky stood still, wary about the new surroundings, but sensing the hope and pleading in Pebble's voice and eyes, she carefully stepped forward untill she was at her side. You could see in ger still-wary eyes that she wanted to go. She nuzzled at Pebble's hair, just being curious. She looked as if she was smiling, and it could be sensed she liked it here, providing she was always with Pebble. She had now realized Pebble wasn't a forceful owner like all her prievious ones, but she knew she wouldn't trust anyone else.
