Flyte sat at one of the tables, staring glumly at the couples dancing. It hadn't been that hard getting in, and it was the perfect place to go to be 'lost'. But the loud music hurt her ears, and she was getting annoyed at the people who kept bumping into her, accidentally, purposely, and drunk.
She concentrated on her nails; she had painted them black again. She was still wearing her skirt and sweater...completely out of place in a club like this. Moaning, she slumped over the table and wondered why she came here. Was I out of my mind?

OOC: Temporart characters are being used.
BIC Near the stage stood a firmillar artist; Masafumi. Just the normal guy, but he didn't seem himself. He was actually being social. The others were dragging him onto the dance club's stage, exactally were he didn't want to be. "Come on, Fuji!" one of the others demanded. "No," Masafumi was calm, yet very unwilling. He didn't sing anymore. He'd probably go up there and sound aweful. Besides, he didn't know any American music. Just the songs he wrote. "You'd have to play anyway." "Fine, just go!" The others had won out; Masafumi was pushed up the stairs onto the stage, but what he discovered when he came to the micraphone made him laugh. "I'm too short, Hiro," he stated. The mic couldn't be ajusted at all. "You've always been short, Fuji! This is no different. Belt it, man," Hiro demanded. Masafumi just sighed and turned back to the crowd. Odds are, no one he knew would be there... and if they were, they wouldn't recognize him... Slowly, background music started to play and words started forming from Masi's lips, hands in the pocket of his sweatshirt. "Laughing, stranding, standing, 'Cause our life is just a trampoline. Got no sunshine rise on a despair. Laughing, stranding, standing, 'Cause our life is like a submarine. Even sunshine reach into deep ends
Got to see Got to feel inside I’m all alone And standing in the storm
Day after day The ghost’s watching you Day after day Souls that you lose Day after day The ghost’s watching you Day after day
Laughing, stranding, standing, 'Cause our life is just a trampoline. Got no sunshine rise on a despair. Laughing, stranding, standing, 'Cause our life is like a submarine. Even sunshine reach into deep ends
Got to see Got to feel inside I’m all alone And standing in the storm
Day after day The ghost’s watching you Day after day Souls that you lose Day after day The ghost’s watching you Day after day
[instrumental thing here]
Got to see... Got to feel inside I’m all alone... And standing in the stoooorrrrmmmm
Day - after - day The ghost’s watching you Day after day Souls that you lose Day after day The ghost’s watching you Day after day [/b]

Flyte sunk even more in her seat, not looking up as a new song came on. Some shoved her chair forward, and she leaped to her feet, spinning around to face the person. "Watch it!" She spat. The boy only laughed and pushed farther through the crowd. She muttered something under her breath and sat down again.

After his song, Masafumi had enough. He jumped from the stage and sat at a table, but the others weren't giving up just like that. "Get you ass up here, Masi," one demanded over a mic. That was bound to give him away, even if everyone was drunk. He didn't want that, so he put his hood up and sunk, making his already short frame even shorted. How bad could this get? He already had to sing... what could be worse.

Flyte sat up so quickly her chair fell back. "Ee!" She squeaked, quickly jumping off and putting the chair upright again. She looked at the stage, then around, but she couldn't see over the crowd. What am I doing? Why am I looking for him? She started slipping through the crowd, trying to act as casual as possible.

Masafumi was still sunk into the chair he was in. He wished to be invisible. Yeah, he didn't know many people, but he wasn't a singer, he was a book worm. "Masafumi Gotouuuuuuuuuuuuuu" the other's chanted. "Come out, come out!" He didn't moved. His breathing was harsh. He shound't have gone up there the first time. What was he thinking? Had they gotten one too many drinks in him to even manage to drag him up there?

Flyte paused again, then kept going. Someone grabbed her arm and she spun around, ready to hit them. "T...tony?" She gasped, staring up at her half brother. She stared at his left arm...well, his left shoulder. His arm was completely gone. "You...weren't kidding..." She stammered, her eyes wide. The man merely smiled and pulled her into a hug. "Sounds like they want entertainment, huh? You used to sing, right?" And he started dragging her through the crowd. "Tony, no!" She shrieked, trying to resist him, though that was impossible. "No, let go! I came here to get away from you!" Antoine merely winked back at her, dragging her closer to the stage.

Masafumi's mini-band jumped from the stage as the two approached. "Hey, Fuji, don't you know her?" one asked. Masafumi sat up a little and looked. Though he was a little dizzy from the beer, he realized right away that it was Flyte. "Who the hell is she with?" he whispered as he watched her and the man come closer to the stange. He just sank back into his chair and waited. What was this about anyway? Why would she be in here?

"Let goooo!" Flyte whined, as they reached the bottom of the stage. Tony laughed and, even with one arm, easily picked Flyte up and pushed her up onto the stage. "Are you drunk?" She cried, getting ready to jump down but just got shoved back. "No. Just do it Fly. I haven't heard you sing in a long time." Flyte stood on the stage awkwardly, and she could feel her legs shaking, though it wasn't visible under her skirt. "Tony..." She pleaded him in a whisper, though it wasn't heard over the crowd.

Masafumi stood up. She's going to sing? he asked himself. He had only heard her sing that once and it was only for a few moment. She got a whole song twice from him. This will be nice. He liked her voice, though he wasn't so sure about this guy who was pushing her around. Soon he was by the stage, right next to her. He seemed even shorter now that she was on the stage. He smiled up at her, awaiting something good.

Flyte gasped slightly at the sight of Masi, and she felt her stomache turn to mush. Stepping to the mike she closed her eyes briefly, not sure if she could do this. I'm never coming back here. She thought as she opened her eyes again. "Come on, Fly! The one Mom taught ya!" Atoine cheered.
"I...I know what you did~, Like a boy of summer gives his first kiss.
Love... Is dancing on my finger~... We got to the heart of laughter and linger.
Now...I'm walking with the living, I've always liked Steinback candles, Old man whistling.
We're back, We're back in San Francisco. We're back, And you tell me I am home.
Talking in the mission, Over coffee this is my utopia.
Ma~an, I will be your lady, As the ocean rises, The time is fading...
We're back, We're back in San Francisco. We're back, And you tell me I am home.
[Music]
Now.... I feel the ever after. Over red whine on the even summer~.
We're back, We're back in San Francisco. We're back... And you tell me I'm home~."

As an appload roared, just as always, Masafumi whistled and cheered. His little buddies were more then amazed that he dared go above a crowd in volume. He was happy that she'd go on stage with him right there. He offered her his hand to help her down, a smile lighting up his face. Yet again, he looked like shit, but he had been drinking. Hopefully it wouldn't be obvious from his breath or something.

Flyte leaped off the stage, ignoring Masi's hand and punched Tony's chest. "Don't ever make me do that again!" She hissed angrily before turning and storming away into the crowd. Antoine laughed and rubbed his chest with his...well, only hand. "You're still my emo girl, Fly!" He shouted, though he knew she couldn't hear.

Masafumi eyed over to the man, then in the direction Flyte had taken off in. He put his hands in his pockets and fallowed after her, hoping she didn't get too far away from him. He wanted anything to be with her right now, but what if she already left? There was no way he could drive for a while. He'd have to walk in the snow.

Flyte trudged outside into the cold and crossed her arms with a sigh. A lot of people were out here, smoking or pushing each other around. Some of them cast glances in her direction and she shivered, not because of the cold this time. But she didn't move, she only raised her head at the people and looked away.
Tony stared after the man, narrowing his eyes. He silently slipped after him, not trusting some twenty year old to follow his sister.

Masafumi managed to get out before Tony had. "You sounded amazing, Flyte," he said happily. He strayed away from asking who the other guy was even though it was pretty hard. Since she seemed a little stressed, he just leaned on the wall of the building. "What's wrong?" He tried to seem like it didn't matter if he knew or not, but he did need to know. He was always concerned about one thing or another, but lately his thoughts have been on her.

Flyte sighed, not looking at him. "What do you think? I came here to get away from him, but of course he finds me anyways, and forces me to sing on a stage. He acts so stupid sometimes, and all the other time he practically turns into my body guard." She turned and looked at Masi, only a couple inches apart from him. "It's like I can never get away."

He shrugged. "I can probably get rid of him for you," he offered. Of course that offer would just seem silly coming from a book wormy person. He'd do it anyway... he just didn't know who Tony was to her. He dug his hands deeper in to his pockets as a cold breeze came past.

"I'd like to see you try." Antoine pushed Flyte back and stepped in front of her, crossing his arms. He towered over Masafumi. "Tony!" Flyte grabbed his ear and tugged it down. "Ow, ow, ow. Hey girly, let go!" He tilted over, grabbing Flyte's wrist. She didn't move. "Pack up your junk and go back home." She growled. "I wish I could, kid. Y'know Dad, he'll whip my butt across the earth for leaving you." Flyte narrowed her eyes. "Tell him to go shove it up his ass, I don't need you here." "What if I told you I got him to allow the piano?" Flyte let go of his ear at this, and he stood up, rubbing it and wincing. Her eyes were wide, and her lips parted in disbelief. "I can play?"

Masafumi eyed up at Tony. "You don't scare me," he whispered to him, loud enough for only him to hear. He didn't want to seem any worse then what he already came across to for this guy, though Masafumi already didn't like him. He tried to stay quiet, but at the end of their conversation, Masafumi turned around and said "kiss my ass" as he started to walk away from the. So now he had to deal with her parents who wouldn't like him till she's twenty, and now her brother. That wasn't something he was looking forward to,

It isn't good for the soul." He continued to walk on. He tried his hardest to walk in a straight line, but every now and again he'd meander off his intended course, but he'd always get right back on.

Obviously he'd never meet her family, ever. Not even if they were closer in age. It would be too much to deal with. He sighed to himself and touched his head to her's. "I really screwed up, huh?"

She could hear foot steps behind them, and turned just in time to see Tony skidding a stop besides her. "Need a ride?" He asked, looking at Masi and then Flyte, raising his eyebrows. Flyte hesitated, then sucked up her pride and nodded. So, he wasn't a bastard all the time.

Masafumi looked away and broke from Flyte's arms, continuing down the sidewalk. She might have sucked up her pride, but it would take a lot more than that to get him into a car with him. He wasn't one to try to start over if they started on the wrong foot. There wasn't a point to it. "Stick it up your ass," he whispered under his breath. He hoped no one heard it, but it was quiet enough so no one probably did.
