Flyte, her shoes off, waded through the water. It lapped over her feet, and the sun was warm on her back. She hated it. "Tear out my eyes and feed them to the dogs." She grumbled, something she had used to say when particulary displeased with her life. Her wrist hurt like hell, and she grabbed it so tightly the tips of her fingers turned purple.

Tony stumbled along the beach, drunk and extremely high. He had spent the whole night drinking, and thinking about crap that shouldn't have mattered. But it did, and that was the problem. When he spotted Flyte he trudged closer, stumbled, then came up besides her, swaying slightly. "Why are you alone?" He asked, his words slurred. Flyte glanced over at him and stopped, then backed up a little bit. "Because." She said, still backing away. He turned and followed her.

"Want to go for a swim?" Antoine asked, smiling slightly. "It's really hot out." Flyte stumbled herself a little at this, continuing to back up faster. "No. Tony, get away from me." She said, panic rising up in her. "Why not. Come, it'd be fun." He grabbed her arm and started dragging her into the water. "Tony!" She gasped, trying to pull herself away. Oh god, no, it's just like last time.

"Can't you swim?" Tony garbled, continuing to drag her into the water. Soon she was up to her waist. "No, Tony, no!" She screamed. He pulled her towards him and laughed. Flyte's eyes were wide, and she was up to her chest. "Please, please! Tony, listen to me!" She cried. She was almost crawling over him, trying to get out of the water. A wave crashed into her, and she started shaking.

Tony laughed again and shoved her forward, into the water. She opened her mouth, but dropped under the water. Water muffled her scream, and she choked on it. Oh, her wrist hurt so much. She clawed at the water. Where was the ground? Black dots started taking over her vision. She opened her mouth again, but nothing came out. Her wrist hurt too much. She touched it gently. She couldn't breathe. She gasped for air, starting to claw at the water again. It just filled up her lungs. Where was the ground?

Hooves of a large horse came over the sand. Stride's hooves. It took the rider a moment to figure out what was happening, but he jumped from the horses back and trotted through the water. He managed to kick Tony's head and pulled Flyte from the water. "What the fuck are you thinking, dipshit!" he shouted.

Flyte choked up water, clinging to Diata. She still couldn't see anything. Tony stumbled back, continuing to laugh. "She killed my sister!" He laughed. "Can you believe it?" Flyte coughed up more water. No. No I didn't.

Diata shook his head. "Damn drunk," he said, knowing he was being hypocritical. "You okay, kid?" He looked to Flyte for a moment. "DUDE! You're Masi's person!" He didn't sound so great himself. He had a hard day of nothing.

Flyte gasped for breath and nodded. Was she okay? She wasn't sure. Her vision started coming back slowly, and she shivered insanely. It was so cold. Tony continued to laugh, tears streaming down his face. "Why'd you do it. Why did you kill her, Fly?" "I d-didn't kill her!" Flyte shrieked. "Were you jealous? Because everyone loved her." He was almost collapsing with laughter now. Flyte coughed up more water.

Diata flipped out a switch-blade from his pocket. He turned it directly to Tony's neck. "Back off, dipshit," he demanded. "She didn't do a damned thing." He didn't know, but he trusted Flyte much more then this guy.

"Yes she did. She killed her." Tony was only crying now. He backed up, away from his blade, and started trudging to shore, continuing to cry. Flyte clung to Diata and only shivered. "I'm sorry, Masi." She gasped. "I'm sorry."

Diata shook his head. "Stride, kill him!" he shouted over to the dappled brute. Stride seemed to nod his head as if he understood and charged after the human, but stopped inches away from him and shook his mane as if a warning. Diata sighed. "Nice job, horse... I said KILL him!... Anyway... I'll take you to Masafumi's okay?"

Tony stumbled back and dropped onto his side. Flyte started coughing again. "T-Tony." She stammered. "Don't l-leave him here."

Diata looked at her. "He just tried to kill you!" he stated, sternly. Slowly, he sighed. "He'll wake up in ten hours anyway." He started walking to shore slowly so Flyte could lean on him.

Flyte stumbled after him, her mind too jumbled up at the moment to do anything else. Her sight had started fading black again, and she blinked to try to make it stop. She grabbed onto her wrist again, though it just felt numb at the moment.

Diata sighed. "I thought you were at Masafumi's anyway? What brought you out here?" He asked as he walked to the sandy shores. He took Flyte around Tony's seemingly lifeless body and stopped at Stride's side. "He'll carry you," he whispered, offering her a boost.

"I'm b-bad luck." Flyte shivered. She lifted up into the saddle and immediately dropped over Stride's neck, asleep.

Diata sighed. She was odd, but at least she could sleep. The horses large frame could hold her anyway. Diata flipped the stallion's reigns over his head so he could lead them back to the stables. Then Diata would drive her home... if she had enough energy to sit on a motercycle.

OOC: *Flashes to the stables cause I'm too lazy to make a new thread.
Diata walked Stride into the stable. He shook Flyte gently on the shoulder, trying to wake her up. He started taking off Stride's bridle and he'd take off the saddle once Flyte was down.

"Mmm." Flyte opened her eyes. Almost as if knowing what he wanted, she slid from the saddle and had to hold on Stride's mane to keep herself from falling over. She blinked and leaned against the stallion. "Vett..." She murmured, closing her eyes.

Stride tried his hardest not to move as the girl leaned on him. Diata silently took off the saddle and started twords the tack room. When he returned, he tried to take Flyte in his arms to help her to his motorcyle. "Are you awake enough to go on a bike?" he asked.

Flyte nodded, still a little "out of it". Truth was, she was ready to drop onto the ground and fall asleep again. "Green moon." She murmured, smiling slightly.

Diata raised an eyebrown but still lead her out, closing the stall door behind them. Then, they were out in the cold. He brought her over to a black motorcycle and handed her a helmet. "That might help a little bit," he said.

Flyte was still wet, and she hesitated before taking the helmet and putting it on. Her fingers were numb, but she managed to fasten it, then stood there and shivered.

Diata got on the motorcycle and waited for her. He was helmetless, but he didn't need it anyway. "The cover drops, too, if it bugs your eyes," he stated.

Flyte nodded to show that she heard him, and hesitated again. Finally she just gave up and sat behind him. She had never been on a motorcycle, but for some reason she didn't really care. At the moment she was too tired and cold.

"Hang on, kid," Diata said as he reved up the engine. After a few moments, he spend off to Masafumi's...

Flyte wrapped her arms around his middle quickly, closing her eyes and hoping she didn't fall off.
