Mandii walked out to see her horse in his paddock. She felt bad for him because ever since she had bought him, he had been cooped up in the small paddock, but there was no other way she could even get 5 ft. close to him without him running, or rearing for that matter. Mandii held the food bucket and crept up to the paddock. The horse turned slightly and stared at her. Oh his eyes, they gave her such a mean look. She patted the food bucket with a free hand, but he made no attempt to come near her. Mandii bit her lip, she had to get the food bucket in the trough, she knew that the horse would just throw the bucket around if she put it down. Slowly, she crawled through the wooden planks and made her way toward him. I am so stupid. Mandii said to herself. But she continued moving. The horse looked at her, breathing hard. Cimarron. Mandii stated, Just let me fill up the trough.
Cimarron stood his ground and the closer Mandii got to him, the lower his ears went. He stomped his foot, warning her. Mandii tipped the bucket into the trough and started to fill up the bucket, but Cimarron's eyes were glued to her. Mandii waited for the trough to fill up, and Cimarron got angrier by each passing second. Another stomp shook the ground and Mandii knew she was in trouble. The horse and Mandii's eyes met and his ears fell flat against his head. Cimarron charged and right before he got to Mandii, he reared. Mandii fell on the ground from the scare and scrambled to her feet. Cimarron ran after her and Mandii jumped through the wooden planks, just as Cimarron grabbed her shirt with his teeth. A small tear was the only damage done this time, and Mandii sat on the ground breathing hard. Im alive,[/b] she thought I wont be next time though.

Diata, sitting on the fence to one of the paddocks, was sitting in silence and isolation... besides the horses of course. He was letting his horse run around in the pasture, and he felt that he should now see the other horses of the stable, besides the stable ones. He stretched a little, and leaned on a pole. Since most of the paddocks were covered from the snow, he and the hroses seemed very out of place from the area around them. Soon, he noticed Mandii coming to feed one of the black horses. He smiled lightly till the horse seemed to show a little agresion twords the girl. He watched quietly, hoping nothing would happen to her. The horse didn't seem like the best beast to be playing around with. He had no idea what she was thinking. If this was her horse, she was in for a wild ride. Cimerron, huh... Fits. He might be a mustang.
Diata continued to watch the beast and the girl. He had no idea what would happen, but the stallion stomping his hoof to the ground gave a good indication of his anger. Diata jumped from the fence, but awaited a good moment. Girl, you'd better get your ass out of there... his mind warned from afar. He watched the stallion quietly, knowing the girl had it partially under control. He watched the stallion stomp his hoof once more, and he started walking over in silence. Don't look at his eyes... Diata knew the horse was now more then agrivated. Once the horse charged, Diata picked up his pace and ended up infront of the brute after Mandii got out of the fence. He whistled quietly to the stallion, hoping to calm him. Soft Japanese words flew from his lips, almost in silence. If the horse lashed out, that's fine. If not, that was even better.

Mandii looked up at Diata from where she was laying. Sitting up, she rubbed the back of her head and looked at the stallion in the paddock. Mandii moaned and a tiny smile crept across her face. Im risking my life for his stupid food. Mandii sighed and turned back toward the horse. This was such a dumb idea to buy this horse. Her thoughts engraved her and she continued to stare at Cimarron until he sneezed and broke the silence. Cimarron ate with his ears back still and he was so agile that Mandii knew she couldnt even put a finger over the fence witout the crazy horse charging at her. Mandii pulled her hand away from the wood and stuck it out to Diata Im Mandii Paxton. Sorry i didnt introduce myself earlier.

Since the horse appeared to be calm, Diata jumped onto the fence. He rubbed his hand lightly, revieling past scars. They were soon covered again by his jacket. "Crazy ass creature..." he whispered to himself. He knew better then to get in front of an insane horse, but he felt it best that way. Once Mandii spoke, he looked over his shoulder. "He deserves his feed," he stated. "Crazy or not.... He's a good horse, I can tell... just intense." He sighed. As the horse sneezed, he turned his gaze over to the brute as he ate. "You can't show him fear. Horses sense stuff like that. It's a proven fact, apparently." He shrugged and took the girl's hand. "Diata Nakashima. Nice to meet you."

Mandii dropped her hand. Well, if your so unafriad why dont you jump in there with Cimarron and see how long it takes before you show fear. Mandii had been slightly hurt by the comment just because she knew that if she had stayed in that paddock any longer with Cimarron, he would have killed her. Mandii's gaze fell upon Cimarron again. Im not scared of him. Mandii stated. Im scared of what he has done. To other people. He has killed one man before and I could be the next if i dont watch it. Mandii stared into Diata's eyes. He has more potential than ive ever seen a horse have but he just needs to learn that not all humans will try to hurt him

Diata looked over his shoulder again. "You dare me?" he said, jumping from the fence on the inside of the paddocks. He had a broad smile. Obviously, he was slightly drunk. "So he's killed. Anyone can kill another." Diata took a step further into the paddocks. His gaze on the black brute. He had no fear. He didn't need it. His past taught him not to fear a horse in any instance.

Mandii gritted her teeth. Youre gonna get yourself killed. She kind of liked this guy though. He seemed to really not be scared of anything and Mandii was slightly impressed by it.
Cimarron slung his head around, seeing the man walk toward him he laid his ears back and made his neck even with his back. His foot hit the ground and he took a step toward the man. Cimarron's nostrails flared and his breathing was quick and angry. Cimarron stood his ground and tested the guy's bravery, giving him one last warning.

Diata stopped, his smile still broad. "My death isn't your concern," he stated. This stallion was jsut another mustang; wild and intense. It was no different then what he had delt with in his past...
He kept his eyes on Cimerron, trying not to come across as a pain in the ass. He clicked his tongue, trying to entice the beast to come over to him. Though the black's obvious signs of agression would usually turn anyone away, Diata stood there, smiling and light. No worry or fear crossed his head, though he knew one false move would send the stallion his way. Slowly, he took another step twords the stallion, his hand held out.

Oh, really? Mandii smiled, Its not really that i care about you dying, i just dont wanna clean it up afterwords. Mandii giggled, showing that it was only a joke. Her eyes stayed on Cimarron, and she clutched the rock tightly in her hand, just in case.
Cimarron knew that he was going to have to do more to get this guy away. The man held his hands out and Cimarron flared his nostrails once more, then charged straight toward Diata. His ears were pinned to his head and he let out a wail of anger. The horse's whole body lifted before the man and his hooves passed inches over his head. Cimarron began to come down from the rear in hopes that the man would get killed under his weight.

Diata looked back at Mandii for a moment and winked. "My spirit will clean it up," he said, then turned back at the stallion and awaited for Cimerron's reactions. He was pissed, to say the least, but Diata just stood there smiling away at the beast.
Diata ruffled his own hair for a moment. He wasn't used to it not being spiked. The moment the stallion began to charge, his smile faided. He was a little more serious now, and tried to anticipate the brute's movements. He didn't move, even as the horse reared. Moments before the horse's hooves would have stricked his head, Diata moved to the side and took Cimarron's halter. "Damned creature," he stated. "What the hell's your problem, huh?" He moved the horses head to look into his eyes. Diata was still calm, his eyes showed it. "Chill, okay?"

Mandii got prepared to throw the rock at the stallion but Diata grabbed his halter instead. Dropping the rock, she slipped into the paddock herself and came closer to the stallion, who looked quite frightened now. She had never seen him like this before, she had never been this close to him before. Her hand slipped over his nose and up his head, gently pushing his forelock aside. Wow. Mandii said turning back toward Diata. Ive never touched him before, A huge, thankful smile crossed Mandii's face How can i thank you?
The stallion was still quite shocked by the man grabbing his halter. No one had ever had the guts to do that before and it made him quite frightened. Cimarron stood in shock until Mandii placed her hands on him. At first he tried to pull away but it wasnt hurting him at all. In fact, it felt quite nice to have some one rub him. He stopped trying to pull away and took in the human's touch and closed his eyes, still breathing hard.

Slowly, Diata released the brute's halter. He sighed. "That was about as much action as I'll get... ever," he laughed. "Just so you know, Cimarron, that's no way to get yourself a girl. It only gets you scars." He scratched the black's ear lightly.

Mandii smiled and stood next to Diata, watching the horse slowly walk away. I cant belive you actually got him to calm down. Mandii was so overjoyed. I have been trying to do that for months. Mandii turned and looked at Diata Maybe.... maybe you should stick around and help me train him when i get more used to him in the paddock?

Diata watched the horse. "He's not so bad, just spunky," he said lightly. "He'll keep acting like this till you stop showing him that fear. You have to be confident enough in yourself before he'll hang tight and let you do whatever you want. I'll assume he's completely untrained..." He watched the horses steps and sighed.

Mandii nodded, listening to Diata carefully. Yeah, he is. she sighed, I wish i had gotton a trained horse but i guess it would boost my confidence if i trained this horse into something other than dog food. She smiled patting the horse as he passed them. I want to train him to become a hunter jumper. her smile faded and she looked longinly at Cimarron. I need to get more confidence around him though. Footsteps startled Mandii and she swung around. Danny stood with his arms hanging over the fence. He smiled and climbed through the fence.
Hey, he said toward Mandii. His arm fell around her shoulder and he hugged her close. Did you get Cimarron to calm down finally? he asked Mandii. Hey, babe, yeah actually Diata just grabbed his halter and kind of embarrassed him. Mandii smiled at Danny. Then turned toward Diata Diata, this is my boyfriend, Danny. Danny, this is Diata.

OOC: CHEAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP BIC Diata's eyes never left the brutes frame. Ruffling his hair again, he sighed. "Trained or not, he'll be a good one," he said. "He has power and a lot of ability... he just needs to settle himself down before he can jump over anything above a foot or two." Diata shook his head lightly. He shrugged a little. "I'll help train, I guess. You'll get that confidence after awhile."
Soon he turned to see Danny coming at them. He just shrugged again and turned back to the horse. Diata was still full of pride. He hadn't had to deal with a wild spirited horse in a very long time. It was just fun reliving that. He turned around as Mandii began introducing them. "Don't you find it redundant to repeat names?" he asked with a smile. "Nice to meet you."

Mandii hoped that was a joke and shrugged I guess. She looked at Danny, studing his face. what? Danny asked, smiling. Mandii shrugged and looked down at the ground, shuffling her feet. She grabbed Danny's hand and looked back at Diata, then at her horse.

Diata thought for a moment. "Okay," he began, still smiling. "I'll go that way, so you two can have your fun." He laughed a little and started out of the paddocks, jumping over the fence. He looked back once to wave, then continued on.
