Kimana was gone by the time he had walked in. Flyte didn't move when he did, but she was quiet. "He shoved so much shit into your head that you don't even recognize someone's love for you?" No, she wouldn't listen to her head. When he left she slowly stood up and started walking out. Her body was too numb to be weak. Her sight was blurred, and when someone, she had no idea who, touched her arm and said something to her, she pulled away and started a mad dash to get outside. Even though she could barely see, it didn't matter. She knew who he was. "Masi!" She cried, grabbing onto his arm. "Don't leave me! I can't do this alone! I...can't..." She buried her face in his arm, though half expected him to push her away. What would she do then? Nothing. She'd do absolutely nothing.

Masafumi nearly fell over, already being weak himself. With his leg being shot, it was twice as bad, but he did manage to keep himself and Flyte up. "I need something, Flyte," he whispered. "Something for me... I'll be able to see my sister and my brother moved back there... sure I won't be in Osaka, but Tokyo's just as good, I guess... And I get to see my half-siblings and my step-mother... I need this... Flyte, you have people here... I really only had you. I don't know if I still do anymore...' He brought himself to silence, thinking he was saying far too much. He should have never come to America. He'd still be playing for a band he hated, but still...

Flyte only tightened her grip on his arm. "I don't w-want to stop you from going b-back." She stammered. "I want you t-to be where you think you belong. I...I just need to know that you don't hate m-me, do you? I-I'm sorry if I'm bothering you." She quickly let go of him and stepped back, trying to swallow the lump in her throat. She didn't even care if everyone could see the tears streaking down her face. She wanted Masi to be happy, but she needed to know if he had cared about her at all, or not.

Masafumi was looking at nothing now. A tree maybe, but nothing more. He didn't have anything to look at. "Masafumi," his father urged, but he didn't move at all. "Flyte," he whispered. "I could never hate you... I'll come back, okay? Once I'm better... I promise you, I'll be back."

Flyte nodded numbly. He promised. She could feel someone grab onto her arm, maybe say something, but she barely noticed. Pulling away, she wrapped her arms around Masi, carefully avoiding the bullet wound in his stomach. "Thank you." She whispered.

Masafumi closed his eyes as he slipped his arms lightly around her. He knew she was completely bruised up. "Don't you dare have any babies till I get back to see them first!" he said. "But I won't sit in that room with you, hell no. I'll see them after the doctors. I don't want to get sick. That would be a bad day." Masafumi's father said something rather quickly in Japanese, and Masi replied back.

"I won't." Flyte said. "And I'd rather not be in the room too, but I don't have a choice." She managed a smile at this. She had almost been afraid that she couldn't smile any more. Slowly she let go of him and stepped back. She stared at him for a second, and felt someone slip their hand into hers. She looked down at the little girl, who was looking up at Masi. "Tell the giant crows that if they eat you, they'll have me to go through."
